Cheers, it’s National Pasta Day! Besides eating bowls and bowls of the good stuff, we’re celebrating with an Italian cocktail to wash it all down: The Gin Martini.

It may be one of the more classic cocktails around, but the martini’s dry flavors and mild bite are the perfect contrast to a bowl of saucy, succulent spaghetti. The best part: it’s a two-ingredient cocktail, plus an optional garnish of olives.

 

2 1/2 ounces gin

1/2 ounce vermouth
